Ways By Which Indian Education System Can Improve

India, a country where education is put topmost priority and is considered a must for everyone. The government is working continuously to improve and broaden the education system but it is absolutely very natural to witness that many of the students complaining about the system primarily for the reason that it is more theoretical than practical. While we have some of the most reputed colleges, higher secondary schools and institutes, still the Indian education system is considered low quality when we compare it with the western education system.

Over time, the Indian education system has changed and evolved. Today half the software engineers in the United States are Indian but on the other side, India has the highest number of academics-related student suicides happen in this country.

Let’s point out some of the errors in our education system and in what ways we can improve it –

  1. Skill-based – This has to be the very first way. The Indian society expects everyone to take up science and maths for their careers, but if the system can be renewed where the strengths of the students can be identified and based on that the student can choose their subject of interest, it is quite natural that particular student will achieve wonders.

  2. Women Education – Women must be treated equally as men in every aspect which involved education as well. Women in the fields of engineering, medical and other fields should also receive due encouragement and appreciation.

  3. Rural Education – Advanced education is available mostly on urban clusters. This is especially true in terms of higher education. If we want to develop our country’s quality of education, higher education of good quality must reach the rural areas as well.

  4. Infrastructure – Indian education immensely suffers from poor infrastructure. Most of the government schools do not even have proper chairs, tables, restrooms, which are the most basic infrastructure. The government must work on the infrastructure.

  5. Practical knowledge – Apart from just bookish theoretical knowledge, the students must experience practicals and practical knowledge. When students work on certain things, they get to learn in an in-depth manner.

  6. Teachers – It is absolutely not a doubt that India has produced an abundance of quality teachers over the past few years but those teachers must receive training from the concerned schools or colleges which will make them capable enough to teach well and handle the students.

There are many good schools in India which have followed proper and correct rules of education. One such school is SAI International School, a 10+2 CBSE school in Bhubaneswar, the school has always respected education. Just like that, many schools need to be like this.
